Silverio Gama is a Mexican journalist turned documentary filmmaker who lives in Los Angeles with his wife Lucía and teen son Lorenzo. His work became more private and personal as he got older. His latest film, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths, is a documentary with autobiographical elements. Silverio and Lucía are happy together. But they are haunted by the death of their first son, Mateo, the day after he was born. With both holding Mateo's ashes and feeling unable to move on from his loss, Silverio experiences his everyday life in surreal ways, with dreams, memories and fantasies at play alongside. his activities when he meets the American ambassador to Mexico at the castle Chapultepec, for example.
